Twitter introduces grouping via Lists

list_small_arrowIn News:Google Wave is surely the big headline today, but Twitter has managed to stay in news as well. The microblog service is introducing a new feature called ‘Lists’ that allows users to group Twitter accounts into different categories. For example, I might create a group called ‘social media gurus’ that has a list of Twitter users that offer great tips on social media use. Other Twitter users can then view and subscribe to this List from my profile.

Much like Google Wave, Twitter Lists is also currently in the test phase with only a few users getting access to this API. But, soon it will be made available to all users. Read official Twitter blog.
